Who Is Eligible/Entitled to Vote in Maine?

    All US Citizens who are:

    • 18 years of age or older at the time of voting
    • Registered to vote in Maine
    • Have established and maintain a voting residence (a fixed and principal home to which the person, whenever temporarily absent, intends to return)

    By registering to vote in a municipality in Maine, you are declaring residency in that community, at that address.

      How Can You Vote?

      • In Person in the Municipality where you registered
      • Absentee (Nothing has changed in Maine!)

      Maine voters currently living at a Maine address or temporarily staying at an address located within the United States or a U.S. territory, you can request an absentee ballot

      Who Else Can Cast an Absentee Ballot?
      • Uniformed Service voter living away from your Maine residence
      • U.S. citizen living outside the United States and Meet the requirements to be a Maine voter
      • Have a print disability (can request online voting)
