In Memoriam: Theresa I. Mudgett
Milo- Theresa I. Mudgett, 74, passed away at home on August 6, 2026 to be with God. She was born on August 1, 1952, in Dover Foxcroft, the daughter of Vernon F. Sr. and Jeanette (Stanchfield) Mudgett.
Theresa went to Penquis Valley High School and graduated with the class of 1970. She went onto the University of Maine at Machias and graduated with the class of 1974. She became a trainer at the Development Corporation Senior and a Plan Manager from 1988 to 2009. Theresa became a Program specialist from 2009 to 2013. She ended her career as a Career Pathways Manager at Eastern Maine Development Corporation for ten years, retiring August 19, 2019.
Theresa loved going to church at Park St. United Methodist Church of Milo. She was active in the church Leadership. She also loved to go on trips, cooking, and always helping people out. Theresa will truly be missed by family, her church community, and all that knew her.
Theresa was the secretary of the Maine Democratic Party for many years, and was an officer of PCDC for many years as well.
Theresa is survived by one sister, Vernette May (Mudgett) Morton and her partner, Dale Gordon; niece, Paula J. (Thody) Francis and her husband, Chris, and her children, Tricia, Becky, and Kayla Thody; niece, Kelly J. Morton; nephew, Albert (Brady) Farmer and his children, Colby Farmer and Jaylene White; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her father; mother; sister, Rose; brother, Vern; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A graveside memorial service will be held 1PM Friday, August 14, 2026, at the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery in Milo.
