Hello, Piscataquis County Democrats!
It’s been quite a month for Maine Democrats! It was great to see so many of you at the “Delegate Selection Meeting” last Sunday at the Commons; thank you for making time for this meeting on such a beautiful Maine summer day! Richard Evans, Sue Mackey Andrews, Sidney Mitchell, Joel Vail, Sally Farrand and I met at the Cross Insurance Arena yesterday morning, joining with delegates from all 16 counties in Maine to nominate Troy Jackson as the Democratic candidate to run against U.S. Senator Susan Collins on November 3rd! We have just 100 DAYS to do all we can to get Troy elected, so let’s hit the ground running and make it happen!! If you didn’t watch the “Nominating Convention” yesterday, it was quite inspiring. I hope you will take a minute to look up Troy’s acceptance speech or one of his interviews done after the convention with CNN, Politico, MSNOW, etc. I’m sure that you, like me, have already received texts and/or emails asking for donations, which will probably become annoying, but, considering the billionaires who want to see Susan Collins win yet again to protect their interests, we need to help as much as we can.
