With $1000 Donation, PC Dems Help Sponsor Regional Food Center’s Cold Hands, Warm Hearts Luncheon, February 28th

The Piscataquis County Democrats recently raised $1,000 for the Regional Food Center in Dover. We presented the check, along with much needed food items, to the executive director of PRFC, Kelly Sirimoglu. Kelly shared that this money is even more critical now as the number of families using the Food Center increases every week. Last year they served 537 unique households, representing 1,140 individuals. For 180 of those households, it was the first time they had needed to turn to the PRFC for support. Currently, the Food Center is averaging five new households every week. With our $1,000 donation, we have become a sponsor of the Cold Hands, Warm Hearts Luncheon given by PRFC, which will be held on February 28th.
The service committee of PCDC will continue its mission of collecting donations to fight hunger with all proceeds going to PRFC. We have raised close to $13,000 since 2021, including our latest donation. Please support our efforts by mailing a check to PCDC Box 133, Dover-Foxcroft c/o Service Committee or at https://secure.act blue.com/donate/pcdcservice. Thank you for your support!
