Election Day: November 4, 2025

This fall, there’s a dangerous referendum on the ballot that would make it harder for thousands of Mainers to vote—especially seniors, working people, and rural communities.

We’re urging Mainers to VOTE NO to protect absentee voting and keep voting accessible for everyone.

If this referendum passes, it will:

  • End no-excuse absentee voting–Making it harder for busy Mainers-like first responders, health care workers, and rural voters-to vote when they can’t get to the polls on Election Day.
  • Restrict ballot drop boxes–Forcing voters in large towns and rural areas to travel farther just to return their ballot.
  • Eliminate ongoing absentee status–Creating new barriers for seniors and people with disabilities who rely on voting from home every election.
  • Ban prepaid postage for absentee ballots–Adding a hidden cost to voting, hitting fixed-income Mainers the hardest.
  • Ban trusted family members from delivering your ballot–Making it harder for voters without transportation or with disabilities to return their ballots.

Vote NO to protect absentee voting and keep Maine’s elections free and fair.
